New Horizons Gallery is a family-run business and one of largest art galleries in Alaska. We have been home to historic and contemporary Alaskan artists since 1979 and have been serving Alaskans and visitors since the territorial days. In addition to artwork, we also offer quality custom framing, estate and corporate sales and shipping. 

We are located at 519 First Avenue, Fairbanks Alaska; across from Golden Heart Park and the Visitor's Center and next door to Spring Hill Suites Marriott.

We accept consignments by artists as well as estates.  Although we are always looking for artists that will compliment our gallery, we must be careful that there is no conflict with existing artist work.  If you are an artist and would like to be considered to have our gallery represent you, please contact Jinx to set up an appointment.
 

In addition to accepting all major credit cards, New Horizons Gallery offers the easy gift buying that gift certificates offer.  They can be written for any dollar value.  We wrap the certificate and offer free delivery in Fairbanks.

Those we just can't live without:

Jinx & Jim Whitaker are the owners of the gallery.  Jinx was born and raised in Alaska. Her family started in the arts business back in 1955.  Jinx manages the business with the help of her two key people, Maria and Dian. Jim has been involved in the gallery since 1989. He has been involved in politics for many years and is currently Mayor of the Fairbanks North Star Borough.

Maria is Jinx's right hand lady.  She has been with the gallery since 1993 when she moved to Fairbanks from Prague.  Maria is also an artist and supplies a wonderful, beaded jewelry line to the gallery.  Ask to see her creative pieces.

Dian, if Maria is the right hand, then Dian is the left.  She has been with the gallery since 1997 and manages the frame shop. She is one of the most helpful people you could work with.  The quality of work produced by her department reflects her great work ethic.  She and her staff are well known for their wonderfully creative designs.  You will appreciate her expertise in framing.

Hana, also from Prague, handles all our shipping.  Her husband took a teaching position at the University of Alaska and she is not one to sit idle. She is a careful, meticulous person who carefully wraps each piece of artwork.  Our shipping success is due to the attention and care that Hana puts into each and every package.  Hana is also a landscape painter who uses both oil and watercolors.
