Sierra based photographers Olof and Elizabeth Carmel specialize in landscape images that merge the reality of a photograph with the artistic expression of a painting. The husband and wife team have backgrounds in photography, drawing and watercolor, and have spent years exploring and photographing the diverse landscapes of the Western United States. The Carmel's award winning images are in numerous galleries and private collections throughout the United States. Their work was recently selected for display at the California State Capitol in Sacramento.

They draw inspiration from the beauty of the natural environment, and dedicate their work to the visionary people who have protected the wild places they photograph.
