Special Cut

This fancy cut would be a nightmare to hand cut, especially as a double mat. This was created on VCADD, a computer program used to design and cut mats.

The shape of the cut was first plotted on a grid and then transferred into the drawing program. Although slow to create once, the design can be saved making future cuts simple.

Using the same idea, the Eagle Mandala by Nathalie Parenteau is framed similarly.
